On November 22, Thailand’s Cabinet decided to waive visa fees and cut the visa-on-arrival fee by half for tourists from 19 countries, including travelers from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, and Uzbekistan.
Thailand’s Cabinet decided to temporarily reduce the visa-on-arrival fee by 50% for travelers from 19 eligible countries.
From December 1 to February 28, the fee will be 1,000 baht instead of the current 2,000 baht, the Bangkok Post reports, citing Apisit Chaiyanuwat, a representative of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Citizens of the 19 countries will also be temporarily exempt from the 1,000-baht fee for obtaining a single-entry tourist visa at Thai embassies and consulates.
